Summer Horseback Riding Camps

Registration is now open for Summer Camp 2010!

Come join in the fun at Walker Farms' Summer Horseback Riding Camp! Kids enrolling in camp must be at least 8 years old, but do not need to have any prior riding experience. Camp sessions run for one week, from 9 to 1 each day, and end with a horse show at 12 on the last day, where parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and friends can come and see what their campers have been learning all week. The cost for one camper per session is $200.

Riders attending camp will learn how to catch, tie, groom and saddle their horses, as well as learning basic riding skills. Each day will begin with a long riding session, after which we will have lunch break and then go back to the barn to learn some hands-on horse management skills. Campers should bring a bag lunch and water bottle with them each day, and wear long pants and shoes appropriate for riding with a smooth sole and a small heel. Walker Farms will provide the rest, including helmets, horses and all gear.

Summer Camp session dates can be found below, as well as registration forms and waiver forms to be printed off. Please mark which session you would like your child to attend, as well as a second choice in case the first should be full. This webpage will be updated as registration forms come in. Also, please enclose the first $100 as a deposit with the registration form, with the balance being due on or before the first day of camp.
