Available For Adoption

Maize

Maize has been at our farm since last spring. She has been ridden by many of my lesson students and was used for horse camps over the summer. All the girls who rode Maize fell in love with her - one even wanted to take her home to keep her in the bedroom! Maize gets a little antsy sometimes when she is ridden alone, partly because she and Cressie have become great friends, but once she gets over feeling antsy she is a fantastic mount!

Maize has never offered to do anything dangerous - the most she does to display her uneasiness is paw while tied or when you first ask her to halt. If she is allowed to walk around for a minuted she quickly relaxes and is a perfectly willing mount. She neck reins and direct reins, rides english and western, and does everything from trot poles to riding quietly down the road next to traffic. Maize is a little bit limited due to an old injury in a hind leg, but the more she is ridden, especially at a trot, the more muscle she builds and the less noticable her slight limp is.

if you are interested in Maize please don't hesitate to call! We can arrange a visit, or more than one visit, where you can get to know this great mare and see if she is the right fit for you!

Horses Adopted From MHARF

Rabbit

Rabbit was adopted two years ago from MHARF. He and I competed for two seasons in dressage and eventing, and were very much looking forward to this summer. Unfortunately, Rabbit colicked on January 28 of this year and developed a twist in his gut. We had to put this beautiful boy down that afternoon. It was a tragic loss that we still feel deeply, and he will be very, very missed.

Liliana

Lili is a 2-year-old warmblood cross who was adopted last winter. She is absolutely adorable, and has been fun to work with so far! She is being started under saddle slowly this winter.
