Welcome to Walker Farms!

Walker Farms is a small, family-owned stable in western Wisconsin. The farm is owned by George and Rachael Walker, both of whom hold degrees in Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. Together they have many years of experience in equine care, from head to hoof. Rachael specializes in teaching and training dressage, jumping and eventing, and currently coaches the UWRF IHSA hunt seat team. George has been a farrier for over 17 years, and co-teaches the farrier program at UWRF each spring semester.

In addition to boarding, training, lessons and farrier care, Walker Farms also works with the Minnesota Hooved Animal Rescue Foundation. Many of the farm's horses are adopted from MNHARF, and there is usually at least one foster horse in training, hoping to be adopted to the right home.

Walker Farms is also working towards sustainability, using draft horses for farm work and raising pastured chickens and hogs. Visit our sister webpage, www.walkerfarmscsa.info, to learn more about our CSA program.
